STRAWBERRY MIRROR GLAZE GEL CAKE RECIPE
INGREDIENTS
- Allpurpose flour (maida) – 1 and 1/2 cup
- Refined oil or ghee or butter – 1/2 cup
- Vinegar or lemon juice – 1 and 1/2 tablespoon
- Milk – 1 cup
- Powdered sugar – 1 and 1/2 cup
- Baking powder – 1 teaspoon
- Baking soda – 1/2 teaspoon
- Milk powder(optional) – 2 tablespoon
- Custard powder (optional) – 2 tablespoon
- Strawberry essence – 1 and 1/2 teaspoon
- Food color – Pink – 1/2 tablespoon
QUANTITY – 12 TO 13 PIECES
PROCEDURE
Take one vessel or a tin in which u want to bake a cake. Grease it with oil and some allpurpose flour. Keep it aside.
Now take a bowl or a vessel an pour milk into it.
Add vinegar, oil, sugar, essence in it. Mix it well with the help of whisker.
Now add allpurpose flour, baking soda, baking powder, custard powder(optional). Slowly mix it well in one direction only.
Meanwhile take a pressure cooker or alluminium vessel or a kahai, put a plate or a stand at the bottom of the vessel or the pressure cooker and keep on the gas on low flame for pre-heating at least for 10 minutes.
If you are using pressure cooker then please remove the whistle and gasket (ring).
Now add pink food color and again mix it lightly in one direction. Make sure there are no lumps remain in the batter.
The consistency of the batter should be medium.
Now immediately pour the cake batter into the greased vessel or the greased tin and keep in to the preheated pressure cooker or any aluminium vessel.
Cover the vessel with any plate or a glass lid.
Bake it for around 60 minutes on low flame.
After 45 minutes you can check it by inserting a knife or a toothpick into it.
If batter leaves on the knife then bake it again for another 10 to 15 minutes.
After that check it agian. Now if the knife comes out clean, then switch off the gas.
Cool the cake and after 1 hour demould the cake into a plate.
Please do not demould the cake while it is hot.
Here your spongy strawberry cake is ready.
Now you can decorate it with whipped cream and gel. You can cut the cake into two layers also, but if you don’t want the layers then apply whipped cream over whole cake (from upper and by all sides.)
Before applying whipped cream, put sugar syrup over the cake.
Now for making gel cake we will prepare homemade gel.
Let’s see how to prepare homemade gel.
INGREDIENTS
- gel Corn flour – 2 tablespoon
- Sugar – tablespoon
- Water – 1 cup
PROCEDURE
Take a pan, Add water, con and sugar in it. Mix it well so that there are no lumps in it.
Now put the pan on the gas on medium flame and stir it continuously for around 10 to 12 minutes.
After 10 minutes it becomes transparent in color and becomes thick.
Here your gel is ready. Keep it aside for cooling.
You can add any food color in it a per your choice for decoration.
Now here we will add pink color a our cake is strawberry cake. Add pink color and mix it well. Here your pink color gel is ready.
Slowly pour the pink gel over the cake.
Make any design as per your choice.
After that, keep the cake in refrigerator for 15 minutes to set the gel.
After 15 minutes take out the cake and you can again decorate it with sugar balls or with any type of cake decorating material.
