MIX VEGETABLE UTTAPAM RECIPE
Here you will learn mix vegetable uttapam recipe
INGREDIENTS
- Rice – 2 cups
- Split black gram – 1 cup
- Salt – 1 tablespoon
- Chopped onion – 1 big size
- Chopped tomato – 1 big size
- Chopped capcicum – 1 big size
- Green chilies chopped – 3
- Refined oil – 1 cup (as per requirement)
- Fresh water – 1 and 1/2 cup (Require as per medium consistency)
You can add any type of vegetables as per your choice.
TOTAL RECIPE TIME
SOAK RICE AND SPLIT BLACK GRAM IN WATER : 4 HOURS
FERMENTATION TIME : 4 HOURS
QUANTITY - 6 UTTAPAM
PROCEDURE
First of all take rice in a bowl. Wash it with 2 to 3 times with water.
Add fresh water again in it and soak it for 4 hours.
The water level should be above rice.
Same way take split black gram in another bowl.
Wash it with 2 to 3 times with water.
The water level should be above split black gram.
After 4 hours, wash again the rice and split black gram with fresh water for 2 times.
Drain all the water from rice and split black gram.
Take a mixer jar now and grind rice in it and make a fine paste.
Add water while grinding the rice as per requirement for medium consistency. Pour the paste into a bowl.
Now take split black gram into the jar and grind it into a fine paste.
Here also ad water while grinding the split black gram for the requirement of medium consistency of batter.
Pour the paste into the bowl. Mix both the rice and split black gram paste well. Add salt into it and again mix t well.
Now keep this batter aside by covering a plate for fermentation for at least 4 hours.
After 4 hours the batter gets fermented.
Add chopped green chilies, chopped capsicum, chopped tomato and chopped onion.
Mix it well. Here you can add little salt again as per your taste.
Keep the pan on the gas on low flame. Spread oil evenly on the pan.
After the pan gets heated, pour the batter on the pan and spread it evenly in round shape by a spoon.
Spread thick layer of the batter on the pan.
Drop little oil by the side of the batter and on the top of the batter.
After 3 minutes, turn the uttapam by other side and cook it.
Again drop little oil by all the sides and on the top of the uttapam.
Just like, do this process 2 times till your uttapam cooked crispy by both the sides.
Here your crispy, hot mix vegetable uttapam is ready.
You can serve this uttapam with tomato ketcup, green chutney or sambar.
