HERE YOU WILL LEARN GREEN PEAS KACHORI RECIPE

INGREDIENTS

  • All purpose flour – 2 cups
  • Wheat flour – 1/2 cup
  • Green chilies – 3 to 4
  • Garlic – 1/2 inch piece
  • Ginger – 1/2 inch pic
  • Coriander leaves – 1/2 cup
  • Mustard seds – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Cumin seeds – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt – 1 tablespoon
  • Asafoetida – 2 pinch
  • Fennel seeds – 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Dry green peas – 1 and 1/2 cup
  • Refined oil – 3 to 4 cups – For deep frying
  • Fresh water – 1 cup (Moe or less as per requirement

TOTAL RECIPE TIME : 10 HOURS

SOAK DY GREEN PEAS IN WATER FOR 8 HOURS

PREPARATION OF KACHORI – 2 HOURS

QUANTITY : 8 PLATES

PROCEDURE

First of all take dry green peas in a bowl and wash it with water for 2 times.

After that again add fresh water into the green peas and soak it for at least 8 hours.

The water level should be above green peas.

After 8 hours wash the dry green with water for 2 to 3 times again.

Drain all the water from the green peas.

Take a mixer jar and put all the soaked green peas and grind it. Add 1 to 2 tablespoon water while grinding the mixture.

After grinding the green peas pour the grind mixture into a bowl.

Now put green chilies, garlic cloves, coriander leaves and ginger into the mixer jar and make a paste.

Take a pan or kadhai with 2 tablespoon oil in it and put on  the gas on low flame.

After the oil gets heated, add mustard seeds and cumin seeds in the oil.

Now saute it well.

Add grinded fry green peas mixture and salt into the pan.

Again saute it well.

Sprinkle some water while sauting green peas mixture, so that the mixture becomes soft.

Cook it for 5 to 7 minutes and turn off the gas.

 Take out the mixture into a plate and let it cool.

Now take another bowl with allpurpose flour in it.

Add wheat flour, 2 table spoon oil and some water in it.

Knead the dough. Water should be added as per requirement for kneading the dough.

The dough should be kneaded in medium and soft form.

After the dough is ready keep it aside for 10 minutes rest.

Now let’s prepare the balls of the green peas mixture which is kept for cooling.

Make equal size round shape balls of the mixture in a plate.

After 10 minutes make round shape balls of the of the dough in equal size.

Roll the ball into a medium size and put one ball of green peas mixture over the flattened roll.

Now close it from all sides and make round shape.

 Just like this process make all the raw kachori.

Take a pan or a kadhai with 3 to 4 cups of oil in it. The gas flame should low.

After the oil gets heated, drop 2 to 3 raw kachori at a time and deep fry it on low gas flame.

Deep fry it till the color of kachori becomes golden brown.

Here your crispy and hot green peas kachori is ready.

Serve the hot kachori with fried green chilies, tomato ketchup or any type of chutney.
